Bingham Lady

Patricia Moss

For over 12 years Patricia Moss concentrated on locating the portraits of George Caleb Bingham (1811-1879) to preserve America’s artistic and historic heritage found in them. The Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Research and Scholars’ Center acknowledged her success. As she located portraits, she found many wrongly attributed to Bingham and became committed to restoring the moral right of correct attribution. That commitment led to expertise in 19thcentury American portraiture. Museums and historical societies recommend her for her knowledge and integrity. Individuals are thrilled with the quality of her work that can include custom, full-color, bound reports which increase the value of an artwork or that becomes a family heirloom.

Moss maintains her interest in Missouri Artist George Caleb Bingham, but as her reputation grows, so does demand for her knowledge and skill.
